We LOVED our stay at the Inn at the Market. Our room was beautiful and spacious, and the view was amazing! My wife commented as she got into bed how comfortable the bed was. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had just finished our long cruise and wanted to stay in Seattle. We arrived early in the morning and wanted to drop our bags off at the hotel. When we arrived, the staff quickly got all of our luggage and stored it for us until a room was ready. Official check-in time was not until 4 pm. Katie, who worked the desk, told me she would do her best but was forthcoming that it could be a bit before a room was ready. She said that she would call us as soon as one became available. At 10:45, we received that call, and our room was ready. We enjoyed our stay; the staff were excellent and very service-minded. We would recommend someone stay, and if we are back in Seattle again, it will be our choice to stay again.

This is the only place that my husband and I stay in Seattle. It is in a perfect location and you feel very SAFE!!!

WOW!!!!!! We cannot get over how lovely the hotel and staff are... The views from our water view room were simply breathtaking. We did not want to leave the room. Always something new to look at. We will be back every time we come to Seattle. Do not miss this hotel!

You guys really went above and beyond to make my stay special. There were times when I wanted to just stay in room, drinking my wine and staring out the window, rather than actually go out and explore the city.

Hoping this NEVER happens to anyone else. During my stay here with my husband for work and to celebrate my 30th we discovered a semen covered hand/face towel neatly folded off of the sink towel rack that we both used prior to realizing what was on the towel. I had used it to wipe my hands and set it on the counter. My husband then wiped his face and smelled the very distinct and pungent smell immediately. He asked me to check to make sure and there was no doubt what it was. We never would have imagined something like this happening. When the situation was brought up initially we were only offered $50 off our stay from the night desk admin. The following day we asked to talk to a manager but was told we would need to call/email, giving us all the work. We pushed back and the manager was available after his meeting while we went to get our rental car. The manager told us there needs to be an “investigation” before anything can be done. He got his director to talk to us and during the entire conversation we were told excuses such as “in my entire time here this has never happened” and “look at our trip advisor reviews”. None which have anything to do with the situation that occurred. We brought the towel straight down to the front desk when it was discovered but this was nowhere noted. We had to bring this up again before check out because there was no attempt at following up with us from reporting it the night before. They just kept deflecting on how they have a process to deal with complaints. Even though within 2 hours (after seeing my Instagram story) we got an email from Shelley would could not even give us the courtesy of a phone call considering the situation. The email states they will come 2 out of the 3 nights because the “issue was not discovered until the 2nd night” but she had to also add that she was notified of “a derogatory social post about the incident” referring to my PRIVATE Instagram story (that disappears after 24 hrs and is only visible to my friends) that I tagged them in to get their attention. And all it states is factual information on what happened. I have every right to express how I feel about a situation we did not ask to be put in to my PERSONAL story, but I am now posting an official public review for actual potential visitors to read. She states in the email she “wishes she would been given a chance to make things right before it was posted” when they were the ones to prolong resolving the issue when given every chance to resolve the very clear issue. At this point we talked to 5 different staff members. They took advantage of us and got upset when their social account got pinged. At least you know how to get their attention. The email includes the fact that “the women who cleaned our room has been with them for 25 years and is one of their top house keepers” one of many statements that were not relevant to the situation at all. It still happened. Just more excuses. No accountability. We appreciate the compensation but what we were looking for was genuine respect for an absolutely unthinkable situation to occur, not excuses to why this shouldnt have happened. Especially with the stay already being covered by work, we just wanted acknowledgment of how absolutely wrong this is. We are being treated as if it was wrong for us to bring up such a serious situation when they should be thankful that it was brought to their attention so the next guest did not have to experience something so violating. We understand mistakes happen but in my opinion everything was handled extremely poorly. Higher management chose to be prideful instead of remorseful. Saying “she’s been there for 20 years and have never seen this happen” as if this suddenly makes the situation untrue. I hope you find this post more appropriate as opposed to the one I posted on my personal Instagram story that was just so upsetting to you. It is no where near as upsetting as putting a towel covered in strangers semen in your face. I’m sure they will never leave a towel unturned moving forward.
